Technology of formation

and training of managers reserve group

 

The project aim: the formation of middle-level executive personnel capable of solving efficiently both production and management problems.

 

Project features: the requirement of processes complexity in training of reserve group was taken into account in the process of structure and work schedule formation. That is there is complex combination in one personnel technology of:

  process of candidates selection to reserve group on the basis of intensity evaluation of management potential and  prediction of their further management efficiency;

 process of theoretic training of «reservists» within the proposed academic programme;

 practical training process of «reservists» according to «Learning by doing» technology;

 process of “reservists” individual work with consultants in personal coaching format.

 

The essence of proposed process: theoretic training of purposefully selected «reservists» is supported and developed by their practical management activity in the project “Learning by Doing”, and obtained positive and negative experience of people and project management is discussed, comprehended and “accumulated” by them in individual work with consultants.

 

The result: qualified in the right quantities organization personnel who have necessary knowledge and skills and who are ready to successful implementation of management functions.

Formation of reserve group of managers

The goal: to evolve the intensity degree of candidate’s management potential and to form the reserve group of managers for further target preparation.

1. Formation of list of candidates to the reserve group 

  • Organization and carrying out of candidates competitive selection to reserve group;
  • Carrying out of primary evaluation of candidates on   selected parameters;
  • Formation of list of reserve candidates for carrying out of assessment procedures.

2. Carrying out of comprehensive assessment of candidates (Assessment Center technology)

  • Development and approval of competence list and assessment criteria;
  • Definition of procedures and evaluation methods;
  • Development of organizational plan of assessment programme implementation;
  • Carrying out of training program for observers;
  • Carrying out of assessment procedures;
  • Preparation of individual and summarized materials on evaluated group;
  • Formation of development group, group for decision making risk group.

3. Formation and approval of reserve group members.

Training and development of reserve group

The goal:

  • To reveal conceptual and methodological backgrounds of work with organization (subdivision) personnel;
  • to impart practical instruments and techniques of personnel management to listeners;
  • to develop personal qualities significant for effective management activity and to form administrative identification of prospective leaders;
  • to develop and solidify participant's essential knowledge and skills in accordance with specificity of their professional activity.

Practical training of reserve group

The goal:  getting of practical management skills and experience of organization change implementation at diverse levels of management hierarchy.

1. «Reservists» work in the project «Learning by Doing»

  • determination of list of young professionals (students of  appropriate specialties) involved in project as members of project group
  • creation of project group headed  by «reservists»;
  • formation of problem list for their further developing and implementation;
  • team work of project under the direction of «reservists»;
  • report «sessions» once a month for consideration of intermediate results and project implementation features (by the special technique with the guidance of consultants) as well as for steps and objects planning for the subsequent «intersession» period.
  • Individual counseling of «reservists» (as leaders of project group) concerning the organization of work and direction of inferiors in project groups.

2. Defense of projects. Report on results of project group work to the company's management team.

Final

1. Acceptance of participants to the active reserve at the enterprise.

2. Analysis of training and development outcomes of reserve group. Performance evaluation of work on formation and training of reserve group of managers.
